Drive past the significant monuments of the Civic District before stopping by at the one-of-a-kind MERLION PARK to take in impressive views of Marina Bay.Visit Singapore’s oldest Buddhist-Taoist temple – THIAN HOCK KENG TEMPLE – before heading to CHINATOWN to observe local craftsmen at work. Visit LITTLE INDIA – a heaven of Indian culture and ethnicity that embodies the vibrant and colourful pulse of the Indian community. Afternoon proceed for Sentosa Sunset Tour. The island resort of Sentosa is a marvellous one-day beach escape from the bustling city. It’s an artificial island with very real sand and swaying palm trees casting pleasant shadow, as well quite a few recreation options, particularly in the Palawan Beach area. Perched on top of popular hilltop park Mount Faber is Faber Peak Singapore, which houses the Singapore Cable Car. Enjoy a panoramic view of the world’s busiest harbour while we swing over to Sentosa island on board Singapore Cable Car. Visit Madame Tussads Wax Museum. After breakfast proceed to Jurong Bird Park an aviary and tourist attraction in Jurong, Singapore.Jurong Bird Park is one of Singapore’s great family attractions, situated on Jurong Hill. It is also the largest bird park in the world, featuring 8,000 birds of more than 600 species.
The African Waterfall Aviary – the largest walk-in aviary – is reminiscent of an African rainforest.
A journey through the exhilarating Jungle Jewels Flight Aviary with its unique bird specialities. Speaking of Lory Loft, it’s the largest of its kind in the world, and here you’ll come across more than 1,000 free-flying, beautiful lories. The Hornbills and Toucans Exhibit is home to a huge assortment of Southeast Asian hornbills as well as South American toucans. Parrot Paradise is where you’ll be enthralled to find over 90 varieties of parrots. Pelican Cove is a must-visit section to view different species of pelicans. Royal Ramble houses endangered crowned pigeons. Swan Lake has an array of swans including mute swans and black-necked swans. World of Darkness holds the distinction of being the first nocturnal birdhouse in Asia. Highlights such as Penguin Coast – a climate-controlled area whose inhabitants include jackass penguins and rockhoppers, Heliconia Repository – an attractive area filled with blooming Heliconia tropical flowers, Birdz of Play – a bird-themed fun land and Bird Discovery Centre that showcases interesting displays in the avian world. Above all, don’t miss out the entertaining shows conducted at the park, like Lunch with Parrots, King of the Skies and Birds n’ Buddies Show.
Evening proceed to Gardens by the Bay which covers 250 acres of reclaimed land on the waterfront. The best spot to get an idea of the sheer size of the Gardens is from the top of Marina Bay Sands, directly opposite the park. Over 200 different species of plants and flowers cover the exterior of these tall upright gardens – twice a night, at 7.45pm and 8.45pm, they are a centrepiece of the gardens’ light and music show, casting a glow over the park, and making you feel like you are in a modern fairy tale. For those who like a view, take the trip 25 metres up to the remarkable walkway that connects 3 of the trees together. The 50-metre tree in the centre offers 360-degree panoramas of the Gardens as well as Marina Bay. The Cloud Forest, the smaller shell-shaped structure with a 35-metre-high mountain covered in plants that usually thrive in tropical highlands. Take a lift that takes you up into the mist and gives you a great view looking down over the walls of plants and orchids.
The Flower Dome is also cooler than outside, recreating the drier climes of places like California and the Mediterranean. In this gigantic conservatory, you will find yourself on a journey around the world, with Baobabs from Africa, Olive trees from Spain, Kangaroo Paw from Australia.
Evening Marina Bay Sands Sky Park offers a taste of the high life with views of Singapore from above. This large wooden decked area is on top of the iconic Marina Bay Sands hotel, at the edge of the city’s harbour. SkyPark offers a 360-degree panorama, with nothing but a sheet of glass and a few wires between you and the dramatic view. Overnight at Singapore
