Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country on the Balkan Peninsula in southeastern Europe. Its countryside is home to medieval villages, rivers and lakes, plus the craggy Dinaric Alps. National capital Sarajevo has a well preserved old quarter, Baščaršija, with landmarks like 16th-century Gazi Husrev-bey Mosque. Ottoman-era Latin Bridge is the site of the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, which ignited World War I.
Arrival and transfer to the hotel. After check-in, we will have the Sarajevo Walking Tour. Highlights of the tour are Baščaršija Square, Sebilj Foutain, Oldest Street in Sarajevo, Old Orthodox Church, Cathedral of Sacred Jesus Heart, Synagogue, Gazi Husrev-bey Mosque, Clock Tower, Caravan Saray, Old Madraasa, Bazaar, Meeting of Cultures Spot, Sarajevo Roses, Assassination Spot, Latin bridge. Overnight at Hotel.
After breakfast, we will start our tour to Medjugorje. Mostar and Medjugorje tour is a daily tour from Sarajevo to one of biggest roman catholic pilgrimage sites in Europe. On our way to Medjugorje with our Bosnia local guides, we will visit the Mostar town and its remarkable bridge, Old Bridge of Mostar.
This tour starts in the morning in Sarajevo and includes a ride to southern regions of the country. On our way to Mostar, we will stop in Konjic, optional would visit to Tito war bunker in case that you already had visited Mostar and you prefer something else. In Konjic we can drink Bosnian coffee in a lovely place with an amazing panorama of the Neretva river and lovely Ottoman bridge. After half an hour break in Konjic, we will proceed to Mostar.
After breakfast enroute Travnik and Jajce tour. Travnik famous for its medieval fortress, built in the 15th century, Jeni mosque, which is the oldest building from the Ottoman period, Sulejmanija or Šarena mosque, Jezuit Grammar School and Elči Ibrahim-Pasha madrassa. There are also two clock towers built in the 18th century, as well as a sundial, built-in 1886. After visiting Travnik we will continue to Jajce, the capital of the independent medieval Kingdom of Bosnia, a city of stone, light and water. The royal castle, town-museum under the open sky, was built on the banks of the rivers Pliva and Vrbas. Overnight at Hotel.
