After reaching Leh airport, meet and greet. Transfer to hotel for check in. Spend the day at hotel. Visit Shanti Stupa which is located atop a scenic hill in Changspa. A white dome-shaped structure that symbolises universal peace and brotherhood. Post this, you will be visiting Chowkhang Monastery that is characterised by colourful prayer flags all around. Overnight in Leh
After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing on the Leh – Srinagar Highway. Visit the Hall of Fame This is a museum maintained by the Indian Army showcasing their strength during the different wars fought, Kali Mata Temple & Gurudwara Patthar Sahib supposed to be built to mark the visit of Guru Nanak Dev to this area. Proceed further and experience the effects of Magnetic Hill which is set to defy the law of gravity and admire the confluence of holy Indus & Zanskar. Following these visits, you will be driven towards the picturesque Alchi Village or the abode of the pious Alchi Monastery. Overnight at Leh.
After breakfast visit sightseeing places like Shey, Thiksey, and then proceed to Pangong via Changla Pass (17,586 feet) and the third highest pass of the world. Pangong Lake is a salt water body of 120 km in length and 6 – 7 Km broad at the longest point. It is bisected by the international border between India & China (2/3 of the lake is in China’s possession). Visit the exact location of the famous movie “Three idiots” & enjoy outing along the banks of the lake. One really feels very close to nature at Pangong Lake with its scenic surroundings. On a clear sunny day, you can see seven colour formations in the crystal clear salt water lake. Take your own time to explore its miraculous beauty and check-in into a camp. Relax, unwind and laze around the Pangong Tso Lake till the evening and retire for the night in your camp. Overnight stay in Tents at Pangong.
After breakfast, travel back to Leh. En route drive through the enthralling Chang La Pass at a height of 18,000ft and several scenic valleys then Visit Hemis Monastery – a Himalayan Buddhist monastery of the Drukpa Lineage and return back to Leh. Overnight stay in Leh
After breakfast, drive to the enticing Nubra Valley known as the Valley of Flowers and the warmest region in Ladakh via towering Khardung La Pass which is situated at a height of 18,390ft above the sea level. This road is considered to be the highest motorable road of the world is an ideal place to enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayan Ranges, scenic meadows and valleys. Enjoy the natural marvels on your way and make it to the pictorial Nubra Valley by afternoon. Check in at hotel. Evening visit the magical sand dunes in Hunder village. Enjoy the scenic views of these sand dunes and enjoy the exciting double-humped camel rides (on own) across these alluring sand dunes Overnight stay in Nubra.
After breakfast drive to Turtuk (first time opened for the tourist in 2010) is a place annexed by India only after the 1971 war, the village of Turtuk is one of the only Balti villages in India and lies right next to the LOC. The village with the whole population of muslims still resembles mini Pakistan. The village’s inhabitants still use traditional utensils which are crafted from stone. Explore the village of Turtuk the village offers views of beautiful valley, part of Shyok Valley. On clear days you can have glimpse of K2 mountain peak located across the border in Pakistan. Though a muslim village, there are few gompas located on the plateau above Shyok River and there is a old royal house to see in village. Return to Hundar by evening. Overnight stay in Nubra
As you wake up in the morning, you can behold the mesmerising views of the gorgeous Nubra Valley while enjoying a filling breakfast. En route visit Visit Diskit Monastery. The Gompa is one of the highest points near the village belonging to the yellow sect (Gelugpa). Parts of the gompa, which house 120 resident monks, are about 700 years old. Post this, we will drive you back to Leh. On arrival in the city, you will be checked-in into a hotel, where you can spend the day at leisure.The day will conclude with your visit to the Leh Market, where you can quench your shopping needs and desires over colourful Buddhist masks, Thangka paintings, superior quality woollen clothes like Pashmina shawls, and others. Overnight at Leh.
