After breakfast day is free to explore the enchanting Lake Como. It is suggested you visit Como’s historical centre with its Cathedral, Broletto, San Fedele square and Church, Medieval Walls & Towers or take a Mini Cruise in the first basin of the Lake. You will see the most famous Villas on the Lake: Villa Olmo, Villa Erba, Villa d’Este etc. Overnight in Lake Como.
After breakfast, transfer to Milan train station to travel to the most romantic city of the world by by train (2nd class ticket, high speed). Upon arrival please make your way to the Hotel. Check in and & relax and later explore this really unique city on water by Gondola Ride… the romantic waterways of Venice. An enchanting gondola ride: Venice viewed from the water! A romantic promenade by gondola that will take you along the canals of Venice and part of Grand Canal. A fantastic opportunity to travel along Venice’s waterways looking up at the fabulous medieval palaces that line these historic thoroughfares and down to see their shimmering reflections dancing on the surface of the water. This cruise through the city’s most secluded waterways passing under small bridges will help you appreciate the special quality of this floating city. Overnight in Venice.
After breakfast proceed on Walking City Tour of Venice (Duration: 1.5 hour / Start Time: 08:30) A pleasant walking tour through the most representative monuments of the unique city in the world! An essential tour for the understanding of Venice! Route: Piazza San Marco – Origins, history and description of the main monuments: Basilica San Marco, Palazzo Ducale, Bell Tower, Clock Tower and Procuratie. Santa Maria Formosa – History and anecdotes related to this wonderful and characteristic square. Campo SS. Giovanni e Paolo – The Pantheon of Venice, the Great School of Charity, the Captains of fortune. Marco Polo’s House and Malibran Theatre. Anecdotes and past and recent history cross each other in this beautiful corner of Venice. Return to San Marco through the Mercerie, vital connection between Rialto and San Marco and the main street for the city shopping.
Half Day to Murano, Burano and Torcello (Duration: 4 hours / Start Time: 14:00) Sail to Murano to see how the beautiful colored glass is made, then on to the pretty islands of Burano and Torcello. After sailing past the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, the Public Gardens, the tip of Sant’Elena and the famous Lido beach resort, the boat arrives in Murano, known throughout the world for its glass manufacturing industry. Here we stop for around 40 minutes to visit to one of the factories. The second stop is at the picturesque island of Burano, famous not only for its lace but also for the fishermen’s houses painted in bright colors. The stop will last about 30 minutes. Then after a short cruise, we reach Torcello, the earliest center of civilization in the estuary. Only the Cathedral with its magnificent mosaics and the church of Santa Fosca remain as testimony of its former glory. The stop will be for about 30 minutes then we return to St. Mark’s Square. Tour ending times are approximate, as the tour might last slightly longer at times, especially during summer season.Overnight in Venice.
After breakfast, transfer to Venice railway station and transfer by train (2nd class ticket, high speed) to Italy’s fashion capital: Milan. This city is all about worldly pleasures. Shopping is of religious significance. Theatres and cinemas flourish in this fashionable city. Apart from a few gems, the city is not commonly known for its looks; it’s the lifestyle that counts. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and check in.
Explore Milan on your own pace, hop on hop off to the most interesting sites of the city! Visit its most popular attractions and places of interest: The Sforza Castle, Sant’Ambrogio Cathedral, Parco delle Basiliche and Leonardo’s Navigli area. The bus takes you to the Duomo, Milan’s most famous landmark, and you can see the Golden Madonnina perched on top of the tallest spire; then you reach the Scala Opera House. The blue line reaches the new skyscrapers area and takes tourists around the luxury shopping area in the core of the fashion district which attracts visitors from all over the world, also the most demanding ones.Overnight in Milan.
