Hanoi, the capital, pays homage to the nation’s iconic Communist-era leader, Ho Chi Minh, via a huge marble mausoleum. Ho Chi Minh City formerly Saigon has French colonial landmarks, plus Vietnamese War history museums and the Củ Chi tunnels, used by Viet Cong soldiers.

The morning starts by an early Tai Chi exercise on the upper deck of the junk, followed by a light breakfast. The cruise continues at the same time when brunch is served. After brunch (Vietnamese cuisine), disembarkation then return transfer by cruise shuttle bus to Hanoi via new highway.
Proceed back to Hanoi with beautiful memories at Cruise in Halong. Evening watch Water puppet show. Water puppetry is a tradition that dates back as far as the 11th century when it originated in the villages of the Red River Delta area of northern Vietnam. Today’s Vietnamese water puppetry is a unique variation on the ancient Asian puppet tradition. The puppets are made out of wood and then lacquered.
Our driver and tour guide pick you up at your staying hotel. Head the south of Hanoi for 110 km. After 2 hours, you will arrive in Ninh Binh. First stop at Mua Cave – the highlight attraction in Ninh Binh, challenge yourself for 500 steps up Dragon Mountain to Mua Peak where you will have a great panorama view of Tam Coc and rice field.
After that, you will head to Tam Coc at noon, having lunch at local restarant
At 2:00 pm you will have around 1.5 hours of a boat trip on Ngo Dong river to visit Tam Coc famous for karst water caves and beautiful water rice field. Then cycle for an hour on quiet roads through villages, rice fields, rivers and rocky outcrops inside the village (around 4 km) stop at Bich Dong Pagoda for a while.

Ninh – a province 95 kms South East of HCMC, close to Cambodia border. The Cao Dai Temple is like a Walt Disney fantasia of the East. Its exterior is decorated with multi-colored dragons of all shapes and sizes competing for space with a number of swastikas. Above the main entrance is the all-seeing holy eye, the symbol of the Cao Daisect. The interior is just as engaging as statues of Jesus Christ, Buddha and the Hindu god, Brahma, stand side by side. Cao Dai Temple is the eclectic mix of colors and the amazing use of architecture create a space of beauty, spirituality with a somewhat surreal flavor to western palates! For the midday service which was unbelievable in Cao Dai Temple – do not miss this!
Heading to the Cu Chi Tunnels are 70 kilometers North West of down town Ho Chi Minh City. The Cu Chi Tunnels were pivotal to the Communist’s victory over the Americans and the South Vietnamese Armies as they allowed the Viet Cong to control a large rural area around Saigon.
You will learn about the clever design of the tunnels and the strategic use of trap doors. Even with B-52 bombers dropping 30-ton loads of explosive, turning the jungle into a pockmarked moonscape, 30 thousand American troops failed to conquered the area! You will have a chance to see a portion of the 121 km long, multiple-layered tunnel and also learn how thousands of guerillas managed to stay underground many days at a time, also their great technique to conceal smoke from their cooking. There’re a lot more to enjoy and even a chance to fire with real weapons like AK47
Pick-up from your hotel ,approximately 2hour drive to My Tho, a Mekong Delta town. On arrival in My Tho, you will board a boat for a cruise on the Mekong river, whilst sailing you will be passing natural creeks and quiet villages and watch rural people going to work. You will see an interesting fishermen’s port and the traditional stilt houses. Keep your camera handy to click eye catching pictures!
On arrival you will stop at Thoi Son islet in province of Tien Giang which has now become an ecotourism site. However, few people know that today’s Thoi Son is thanks to the endless efforts of local people to develop the isolated isle into one of the region’s go-to destinations. You can explore this region and its delights before returning to the cruise boat by small rowing boats through a short stretch of waterways. My Tho before you return to Ho Chi Minh City by private car.
