Mystic Himachal with Dharamshala

Upon arrival at Chandigarh Airport, we drive to Shimla – this beautiful hill resort was the erstwhile summer capital of the British. It is one of the top tourist destinations in India owing to its mild climate, meandering streets and snow-clad mountains. Often referred to as the ‘Queen of Hill Stations’, Shimla is perched at a height of around 2000 meters above sea level. Besides its natural beauty, what attracts hordes of tourists to this place is the opportunity to indulge in various adventure activities, such as trekking, mountaineering, and skiing. After breakfast proceed for Shimla sightseeing – Kufri derives its name from ‘Kufr’ which means lake. It is especially popular among trekkers. After breakfast proceed for Solang Valley a splendid valley between Solang village and Beas Kund which offers the view of glaciers and snow capped mountains and peaks which has fine ski slopes. Enjoy ropeway and adventure activities like Zorbing, Paragliding.Later you can also visit Tibetan Monastery- not only a place of worship but also a Tibetan culture centre, the natural springs. Explore the ancient temples like Vashista Kund the sandstone temples at Vashist Village, Hadimba Devi Temple dedicated to Hidimba, wife of Bhim one of the 5 Pandava brother of the Hindu epic Mahabharata and the Manu Temple- an old temple dedicated to sage Manu. After breakfast proceed to Dharamshala. On the way, let the cool breeze come while treating your eyes to the scenic, spread all around. After arrival in Dharamshala, check-in at the hotel. After breakfast explore Dharamshala where you are going to cover the major attractions that are going to include Dal Lake, Church, visit Bhagsunag Temple and Dalai Lama Monastery. All these places are filled with a lot of natural beauty. After lunch we embark on a sightseeing visit to the famous Tibetan Medical Centre, where treatment is done using rare Tibetan medicines.St. John Church, which is one of the oldest churches of this region. It is widely acknowledged for its Belgian stained-glass windows, which were donated by Lady Elgin. Later visit Dharamshala Stadium (Subject to operation).
